1. Opposite Wall. Mixed media on paper, 11" x 14", 2020. Safety notices dot the corridors throughout Palmer Station.
2. Zodiac 1. Mixed media on paper, 8.75" x 12", 2009. AAWP grantees at Palmer Station were assigned boat 66, dubbed "artists' boat".
3. Weather 2. Mixed media on paper, 11" x 14", 2009. Weather station monitors determine activity safety.
4. Beaver Tail and Boots. Mixed media on paper, 8.75" x 12", 2020. Safety gear of the Search and Rescue teams stand at the ready.
5. Hoses. Mixed media on paper, 6.75" x 12", 2009.
6. Bowline on a Bight. Mixed media on paper, 11" x 14", 2010. The knot we used most often to tie the Zodiac securely to a hitch.

10. Bahia Pariso; mixed media on paper, 11" x 14", 2009. In 1989 the Argentine supply ship Bahia Pariso ran aground and sank in Arthur Harbor off Palmer Island. The life ring, as both relic and caution sign, decorates the wall. At USAP stations, it is always "safety first". You can't have science without safety.
